Hey y’all, my name is Madelyn Methvin and welcome to my site! I’m so excited that you’ve chosen me to help you learn ways to get through college. In this post I’m going to give you a sneak peek into what you can expect from this website.
My website is here to help you learn how to navigate the life of a college student. It is a big transition from high school to college. Most college freshmen come in optimistic, which is cute, but not always practical. I was a victim of being overly optimistic coming to MSU. I came into my freshman year thinking I would be an all-A student, with a boyfriend and the greatest group of friends by the time I went home for summer, but that was far from the truth. Going into sophomore year I was full of anxiety on how the next year of my life was going to pan out. I spent the year trying to get a hold on my social life first because I knew that would help my mental health more and at the time that’s what I needed. The last year and a half I’ve been focusing on mixing my social and academic lives successfully. College is a time to get to know yourself more as a person while also learning what future career you want and achieving that goal. The purpose of this website is to help you achieve those things as easily as possible. It is difficult juggling your academic and social life, but that’s why I’m here to help.
On this site you can find specific ways to help navigate a day in the life of college, a week, or a semester schedule. These tabs will be located at the top of the website, bolded. Throughout the website there will be links connected to key words, these will lead you to playlists, articles, photos, etc.
There will be regular updates to the website. Thank you for visiting my site. If you enjoyed, it check out my socials @madelynmethvinpr. I would love to continue to help you be able to make the most of your college experience. Remember the best way to make improvements is to start small.
